All too often people lose sight of what "REPRESENTATION" means.
Quite simply it means sticking to the ideals and principles that you live and practice, listening to the people one represents and implementing those ideas in the public forum.
Common sense and respect for people, for the region and for the surrounding community are factors that must be considered.
"REASONABLE" growth and development. The key word being "REASONABLE".
Here is an example - Eminent Domain for private development. The U.S. Supreme Court says it is OK. I do not agree with an open ended interpretation of this as many do not. We must consider the rights of homeowners and businesses already in place rather than displace people simply for tax revenue. There is something wrong with this.
Marc generally believes TIF (Tax Increment Financing) hurts our schools and our community when used to excess. Before such a gift of tax payer money is given to a developer, serious consideration must be given to those most adversely affected - that is you.
Marc believes small business is the back bone of America and those seeking to achieve the American dream of starting or expanding their opportunities should not face barriers put in place by their local government. This helps create jobs at the local level. It is a win-win situation.
We're all in this together.
